What if we built a simple/quick app to introduce members of the DiSo community?

  1. login with your OpenID
  2. we'd import your profile/hcard/etc which we could tweak
  3. you'd give yourself a badge/label/icon (developer/designer/lurker/etc)
  4. you'd fill in the information about what you're interested in about diso, etc (not a full profile)
  5. next screen you'd be "introduced" to someone else and you'd get to read what they're trying to do
  6. you could contact them, or say "i want to do this too!" etc...
  7. you could then click through to see other profiles

The idea is to create a more effective way for people to meet each other in the DiSo community without one of those 5000 thread-long intro emails... what do you think?
